I wanted to share with you an excerpt from the latest issue of Air n-Aithesc. The excerpt that I am sharing is from Morgan Daimler's article from her on going series of Gods and Goddesses: Tailtiu.

"Tailtiu, whose name may also be spelled Tailltiu and Tailte, was a queen of the Fir Bolg. The Fir Bolg are the fourth group to settle Ireland, and like the Fomorians and Tuatha Dé Danann themselves, are said to be descendants of the third group of settlers, the Nemedians. By this genealogy the Fir Bolg and Tuatha Dé Danann have a shared ancestry, although in mythology they appear as enemies fighting over who will rule Ireland. In the Set-Cath Maige Tuired when the Tuatha De Danann arrive in Ireland they battle against the Fir Bolg in order to take control of Ireland which they successfully do. The Fir Bolg are drive into Connacht, the territory being granted to them as a concession after their champion maims the Tuatha De Danann king Nuada."
